SoVaNow.com / March 06, 2014
Halifax County Administration offices will be moving this week to their new location in the Mary Bethune Office Complex, where they will officially start doing business on Monday, March 10.

The move comes as the County begins preparation for the renovation of the Halifax County Courthouse where the office of the Sheriff will move to the County Administration Office when renovations there are completed, hopefully by November.

Involved in the move to the Bethune Complex will be the offices of the County Administrator, the Finance Department, Planning and Zoning, Building and Grounds Department, building permit issuance and building inspections. GIS/IT department and the emergency service coordinator.

The offices will be on the lower level of the complex, near the offices of the Treasurer and Commissioner of the Revenue. There will be signs directing residents to the proper office or for more information one may call (434) 476-3300.
