SoVaNow.com / April 26, 2010
A Halifax County man was arrested Monday, April 26, on a charge of grand larceny. Virginia State Police took Brian Lee Carr, 35, of Nathalie, into custody without incident.

In October 2009, the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Appomattox Field Office began investigating allegations made against Carr in his capacity as a sworn employee of the Brookneal Police Department. An undercover operation resulted in the arrest warrant for one count of grand larceny.

Carr was released on bond.

The criminal investigation remains on-going by the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Appomattox Field Office.
