Halifax County trustees meet tonight at Clays Mill Elementary / September 10, 2018
The Halifax County School Board will meet tonight at Clays Mill Elementary School as part of the trustees’ ongoing effort to spotlight each of the county’s nine primary and secondary schools.

The regular monthly meeting of the board will begin at 6:30 p.m. and it is open to the public.

Superintendent of Schools Mark Lineburg will update trustees on the school facilities report recently presented to the public by Moseley Architects.

Assistant superintendent Valdiva Hall will present a report on the opening of school this year, noting that activities at all the county’s public schools went well.

Lineburg also is expected to review and discuss goals set by the school board for the year, and interim finance director Bob Aylor will offer a preview of budget priorities for 2019-20 fiscal year. Also, Halifax County High School Principal Mike Lewis is expected to make a presentation on the state’s new SOL revision table.
