Halifax Ponytails win Dixie World Series crown / August 08, 2014
The Virginia Dixie Ponytails swept to the World Series championship Friday with a 16-3 win over Georgia in the title game.

The local Halifax American Ponytails defeated the team from Columbus County, Ga. Friday en route to the World Series crown.

Virginia ran the table on the tournament, finishing unbeaten.

Way to go girls. I knew you could do all along, great effort by all. You now join a "very elite" group of softball players in Halifax Co. Just make sure that your plaque is added to those already displayed at the flag stand at Mary Bethune where it will be on display for everyone to see forever.
