Halifax woman charged with assaulting South Boston police officers
SoVaNow.com / August 12, 2013A 21-year-old Halifax woman, Jessica R. Pannell, was arrested Saturday and charged with two felony counts of assault against South Boston police officers.
The charges were filed by South Boston Police Officer T.W. Bush after Pannell allegedly assaulted him and South Boston Police Cpl. M. W. Bowen. The incident took place on Aug. 10.
In other reports from Saturday, Officer J. J. George arrested 18-year-old Da’Nesha J. Tyler of South Boston and charged him with disorderly conduct.
Officer F. A. Powell arrested 25-year-old Dexter L. Tucker of Chase City on a charge of being drunk in public.
Officer T.W. Bush also charged David D. Britton, 22, of Lynchburg with possession of marijuana and with driving on a suspended license, third offense.
Officer T. N. Bratton arrested Tamecia D. Clark of South Boston on Thursday, Aug. 8 and charged her with shoplifting from The Shoe Department on July 26.
Cpl. Bowen arrested Joshua J. Satterfield, 25, of Virgilina on Saturday, Aug. 10 and charged him with being drunk in public on July 27.
