Friday was a great day to celebrate America’s birthday and the fireworks at the Picnic in the Park event in South Hill did not disappoint. Thousands turned out at Parker Park to watch the show. In Clarksville, the Fourth of July parade was a big hit, with the Color Guard from Clarksville VFW Roanoke River Post 8163 leading the procession down Virginia Avenue.
