HAPPY Millionaire’s DAY
SoVaNow.com / January 02, 2014Somewhere out there, a millionaire-dollar lottery winner walks — the holder of a $1 million Virginia Lottery ticket sold at the Apple Market in Centerville.
The Apple Market, at 3225 Halifax Road, sold one of three million dollar winning tickets in the New Year’s Millionaire Raffle. Lottery officials drew the winning tickets on Wednesday.
As of yesterday, no one had yet stepped forward with ticket number 19966, one of the big winners.
The South Boston ticket was one of three million dollar winners. The other two tickets were sold at a 7-Eleven store in Woodbridge and at State Line Exxon in Clearbrook.
The New Year’s Day Lottery drawing also produced six additional tickets with prizes of $25,000 each. Those winning tickets were sold in Lexington, Harrisonburg, Alexandria, Norfolk, Richmond and Skippers.
There were also 300 more winning tickets that carry prizes of $500 each. The winning numbers are posted at the Virginia Lottery’s website:www.valottery.com. Players can also call the Lottery Information Line at 804-662-LUCK for more information.
