HCPSEF awards more than $23,000 in mini-grants / October 15, 2018
The Halifax County Public Schools Education Foundation has awarded 92 Teacher Mini-Grants worth $23,147 to 121 teachers and 14,614 students (duplicated count). The grants are awarded to fund “innovative and creative” classroom projects, enhance learning opportunities for students, and reward outstanding teachers in Halifax County.

The program will fund the purchase of special materials or resources for classrooms and provide opportunities for students which are not included in the annual school board budget.

Every school in Halifax County benefits from the Mini-Grant program. This is the eleventh year the competitive grant program has been offered by the Halifax County Public Schools Education Foundation funding 713 projects at a cost of $177,868.32.

Thanks to the continued generosity of the many community minded individuals and businesses who support our public school students and teachers, the Mini-Grant program is made possible annually.
