After it was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, the Virginia Lake Festival returns Friday and Saturday, in Clarksville. Although the traditional Thursday night hot air balloon kickoff event has been called off, Town and Chamber officials are expecting a robust turnout for Friday night’s Opening Ceremonies and Saturday’s all-day street fair, 7 p.m. concert and fireworks show at nightfall. Due to the late start pulling together the affair, Lakefest will feature fewer vendors but plenty for guests to enjoy — artworks, crafts and gift items for sale on Virginia Avenue and at downtown Clarksville shops, and a variety of foods by out-of-town vendors and Clarksville restaurants.
