Volunteers served more than 350 warm meals on site and provided delivery of meals throughout the county as part of the Thanksgiving Day community feast coordinated by members of the Halifax County Minister’s Association and South Boston Church of God. Cooks, servers and deliverers gathered at Halifax Christian School beginning at 7 p.m. to pressure cook and smoke the turkey meat and work the assembly line where boxed meals with side dishes, rolls, drinks, and desserts were prepared. The HCMA and South Boston Church of God coordinated the meal for the fourth year together. Pictured working at the grill, top, Frank Carr, Leyla Garber, Mark Griffin, T.
