IDA interim director makes brief showing at board meeting / November 16, 2020
Mike Davidson, the new part-time interim executive director of the Halifax County Industrial Authority, made a brief appearance at a meeting Friday of IDA directors.

The IDA board of directors held a closed meeting Friday to consider incentives for a prospective industry that’s interested in the new shell building going up at the Southern Virginia Technology Park on U.S. 58. Campbell, retired director for economic development in Campbell County, is filling the vacant Halifax County position following the firing of former director Brian Brown.

“We are working with a prospect for the shell building,” said IDA board member Mattie Cowan, explaining Davidson’s presence at the meeting.

During and after coming out of closed session, the IDA took no formal action before convening.
