It’s Clover’s turn Saturday / September 09, 2019

Coming up Saturday, the Clover Volunteer Fire Department will host its 30th annual Fall Festival, the biggest fund raiser of the year for the Clover department.

The event begins with an 11 a.m. parade and continues with CVFD members grilling hot dogs, hamburgers and bologna burgers for lunch, served with french fries and cold drinks. There will be inflatables for the kids, a turkey shoot from 3:30-5 p.m., and entertainment during the day by High Grass Band, Forever Blessed, Stain Glass Bluegrass and Moonshine Son.

Supper starts at 5 p.m. with BBQ and chicken tenders prepared by CVFD volunteers, who also will have their famous baked beans, slaws, french fries, drinks and desserts on the menu.

A highlight of the day will be the awarding of a grand prize raffle: $1,000 in cash, along with three consolation prizes of $250 each. Raffle tickets are $1 each, and the drawing will be held at 7 p.m.

The event supports the work of the Clover Volunteer Fire Department to protect life and property in the community. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come out for a day of fun in Clover.
