Last day to register to vote in primary, May 20
SoVaNow.com / May 13, 2013According to Halifax County Registrar Judy Meeler, the Constitution of Virginia requires that you be registered in the precinct in which you live in order to be qualified to vote and in order to be eligible to vote in the June Democratic Primary Election that will be held on Tuesday, June 11, you must register no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 20.
The General Registrar’s office at the Mary Bethune Complex, 1030 Cowford Road, is open Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., on Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m.-5:00 p.m. for the convenience of registered voters who need to vote by absentee ballot for this election date.
Saturday, June 8 is the last day for this election on which qualified applicants may vote absentee ballots in person.
