Longtime OB/GYN dies at home
SoVaNow.com / April 16, 2013Dr. Phillip Ward, the Halifax County Medical Examiner and a longtime OB/GYN in the area, has died.
Ward was found dead at his Buffalo Junction home Tuesday morning. He had been in ill health recently.
Ward, a Board-Certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology, joined Fuller-Roberts Clinic in South Boston in 1977. He received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and attended medical school at the Medical College of Virginia. He completed his residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News.
