Mecklenburg County grand jury hands down indictments

A Mecklenburg County grand jury handed down indictments against 11 individuals on March 16, including four individuals for shoplifting.

Indictments are not findings of guilt, but rather a determination that sufficient evidence exists to bring cases to trial.

Crystal Lee Hudson of Clarksville was charged with one felony count for assault and battery of a family member, this being a third or subsequent offense.

Jessy J. Hawk of Chase City and John Lue Jackson of South Hill were each separately charged with one felony count of shoplifting in unrelated events.

Charles Renn of Henderson, N.C. was charged with two felony counts of shoplifting.

Tanisha Moore, aka Tanisha Kersey of Ebony, was charged with one felony count of shoplifting.

Ronald Gregory Vaughan Jr. of Danville was charged with one felony count of eluding and one felony count for possession of a Schedule I or II drug, and two misdemeanor counts, for driving under the influence and possession of marijuana.

Antoine Springs of Charlotte, N.C. was charged with one felony count for possession of tools for forgery and one felony count for forging coins and bank notes.

Jocque Marcell Atkinson of Chase City was charged with one felony count of breaking and entering in the night for purposes of committing a felony and grand larceny of a firearm.

Nathan Gaitor of Brodnax was charged with one felony count of conspiracy to commit robbery, one felony count for attempted robbery. He also faces felony charges for use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and one felony count for malicious shooting.

Dante Lamar Roberts of Chase City was charged with possession of cocaine, a Schedule I or II drug and a misdemeanor offense for carrying a concealed weapon.

Robert Tyrone Tucker of Baskerville was charged with one felony count for driving after having been declared a habitual offender and a misdemeanor offense for driving under the influence, second or subsequent violation in less than 10 years.
