Missing Burlington woman’s body found in Virgilina area; dog alive

South Boston News
SoVaNow.com / October 06, 2012
The 90-year-old Burlington woman missing since Sept. 8 was found dead near her 2005 Cadillac Deville off Buckshoal Road in Saturday morning, confirmed Halifax County Sheriff Fred Clark.

Authorities say that Ruzie Suggs, who was last seen in Greensboro, N.C., had mild dementia and got disoriented as she drove home.

A prayer vigil scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled.

Suggs' dog, at her side, is in the custody of Animal Control and is to be retrieved by Suggs' family.
