A Nathalie man has been charged with first degree murder after a 44-year-old woman was fatally shot outside of an Epperson Trail residence on Wednesday night.

Nathalie driver injured in one-car crash
SoVaNow.com / September 30, 2013A single vehicle crash Friday morning left the driver of a 2000 Dodge pick-up truck with serious injuries.
Lisa H. Garner, 42, of Nathalie was not wearing her seatbelt when the truck she was operating ran off the right side of U.S. 501 about three-quarters mile north of its intersection with State Route 603. The truck struck several trees. Garner was airlifted for treatment of her injuries.
Virginia State Trooper K. R. Martin is investigating the crash. Charges are pending.
