One person was injured in a Friday morning accident at the intersection of US Route 360 and State Route 821. Harold E. Spencer, 72, of South Boston was charged with failure to yield the right-of-way when the 2005 GMC Canyon he was operating pulled out in front of a 1993 Ford Festiva operated by 62 year old Larry M. Throckmorton of Scottsburg. Throckmorton was injured and transported to the local emergency room for treatment, and his car sustained an estimated $1,500 in damages. Damages to Spencer’s vehicle were set at $3,500. The mishap occurred at 8:20 a.m. Virginia State Trooper J. A. Williamson investigated the accident. Tell-a-Friend | Submit a Comment 793News & Record
