Opening of cancer therapy center slated

Community Memorial Healthcenter (CMH) and VCU Massey Cancer Center will host a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony for the newest radiation therapy facility in the Southern Virginia area, the Solari Radiation Therapy Center.

The public is invited to join CMH and VCU Massey Cancer Center on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. for the event, with tours to follow.

CMH has partnered with Richmond-based VCU Massey Cancer Center to provide radiation therapy in the Southside Virginia community. Cancer patients will now have access to advanced world-class cancer care in one convenient location.
