Milteer
SoVaNow.com / December 19, 2012
Park View Middle School has a new principal, Samantha Milteer, who was introduced to the Mecklenburg County School Board Monday night in Boydton.

Milteer will begin as PVMS principal on Jan. 2. She most recently was the sixth grade administrator for Peabody Middle School in Petersburg.

She takes over the job from Steve Spain, who was suspended in November for reasons that Central Office administrators have not divulged, citing privacy concerns in personnel matters.

Spain took over as Park View Middle principal at the start of the school year, succeeding Fay Bruce, who left over the summer to become a middle school principal with the Halifax County school division.
