Pickup truck taken in Halifax, later found
SoVaNow.com / November 26, 2012On Monday, Nov. 19 at 5:41 p.m., a white Toyota Tundra pickup truck was reported stolen from the parking lot of Sunshine Mills in Halifax. The truck was unlocked with the keys inside at the time of the theft.
Police recovered the vehicle, registered to Robert S. Franklin of South Boston, at approximately 9:15 p.m. at Westside Village Apartments that same evening.
Three firearms were reported stolen from inside the pickup: a Glock 26 .45 caliber pistol, a CVA Optima 50 caliber black powder rifle, and a Remington 870 20 gauge shotgun.
The total value of the firearms is estimated around $1,100.
