It’s almost time for the 17th annual Picnic in the Park on Wednesday, July 3 at Parker Park in South Hill.

Come celebrate Independence Day with the biggest and best fireworks display yet by Dominion Fireworks, Inc. at 9:15 p.m.

The event will feature American Legion Post 79 and VFW Post 7166 Color Guard and Rifle Squad with the start of the official program at 8 p.m.

Later, The Redneck Pool Party will provide music through the night. Games are sponsored by the YMCA, and there will be food, music, and much more fun. Admission is free.

A Senior Shuttle service will be provided by LCAAA from the baseball field parking lot. Be sure to enter the venue from Raleigh Avenue.

The celebration is brought to you by the Town of South Hill, the South Hill Community Development Association, South Hill Chamber of Commerce and South Hill YMCA.
