Halifax County Planners will hold their regular monthly meeting tomorrow night, April 27 beginning at 7 p.m. with the presentation of a resolution honoring Hunter Ford for his many years of service on the Planning Commission.

Planners will also host a public hearing on an application from Lemuel Anthony Powell requesting a conditional use permit which will allow for a gun and ammunition retail store in ED#6 at the end of state maintained Route 686 Mercy Seat Road in Sutherlin.

Commissioners will also be advised on the recent actions of County Supervisors who approved the request by Reed and Leigh Edwards for an RV campground in ED#7 and also gave their approval of all 69 Agricultural/Forestal Districts for eight year terms.

Planners are also expected to set a public hearing on a request from William Larry Miller for a conditional use permit which will allow for a meeting and conference center in ED#6.
