Police make felony arrests over the weekend

Twenty-seven year old Keywarren Brooks of South Boston was charged on Saturday, June 22 with two felony counts, the first being distribution of marijuana and the second possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Brooks was arrested by South Boston Police Officer J. Throckmorton with no bond set in the case.

Officer R. Mead arrested 39 year old Delores Terry of South Boston on Sunday, June 23, charging her with the felonious malicious wounding which took place on Saturday, June 22. No bond has been set in her case.

Also on Sunday Mead charged 25 year old Robert Marshall of Halifax with driving under the influence.

In another Sunday incident, Sgt. Gilliam charged 24 year old Deshawn Fallen of South Boston with being drunk in public. Also charged by Mead with public drunkenness on Saturday was 21 year old Shenique Terry of Halifax.

In arrests made on Friday, June 21, Officer J. Throckmorton charged 40 year old Levi Venable of South Boston with being drunk in public, profane cursing in public and resisting arrest. Also charged by Throckmorton on Friday with shoplifting was 20 year old Marcell Walker of Clarksville.

Officer R. Lawson charged Jerry Martin Jr., 31, with a violation of court orders on Friday.
