Probe ongoing in assault case

SoVaNow.com / November 22, 2017
The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation of a disturbance that ended with three people being assaulted.

On Friday, Deputy Josh Carroll, Sgt. Baird and Cpl. Thomas with the MCSO were called to a possible disturbance at a home in the 200 block of Looking Glass Trail in Bracey.

When they arrived at the scene in the River Ridge subdivision, deputies found three assault victims: two men outside the residence and a third male inside the residence.

The victim inside the residence and a second victim, one outside the residence, were both transported to VCU Health Medical Center in Richmond for treatment of their injuries. The third victim was treated and released, without being transported.

As of press time, the Sheriff’s Office declined to comment on any motive for the assault or any suspects. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Mecklenburg County Sheriff at (434) 738-6171.

This place seems to have become the "Ghetto" of the lake now. There are always stories of mischief and crime coming from there. It is a shame, because it once was a nice, peaceful place.
