News Rawlings man killed in crash off I-85 in BrunswickSoVaNow.com / March 17, 2021
Virginia State Police have identified the man involved in a fatal single-car crash in Brunswick County on Sunday evening. William Fredrick Clary, age 52 of Rawlings, succumbed to his injuries early Monday after being airlifted to Chippenham Hospital in Richmond. Clary was the sole occupant of a 2010 Ford Edge that struck a tree on Old State Road south of I-85 around 7:55 p.m. Sunday. State Police say Clary was traveling at a high rate of speed when he entered a curve, lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road before striking a tree. Speed and alcohol are said to have been contributing factors in the crash. It is unknown if Clary was wearing his safety belt at the time of the crash.
