REMEMBERING MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.

A celebration of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was held Sunday at First Baptist Church on Ferry Street, sponsored by the Halifax County Business and Professional Council. The event was led by Valdivia Marshall, Nakisha D. Easley, Lealand Luck, Helen Leigh, Inez Scott, Rev. Whitfield Scott, Linda Owen, Sharon Medley, Derwin Leigh and Kevin Chandler. Luck served as master of ceremony for the event with Rev. Scott bringing the message and special musical selections by the Spanish Grove Male Chorus.
