RIDING HIGH FOR 4TH OF JULY

South Boston NewsSouth Boston News
The community celebrated Independence Day on Wednesday with a pair of parades: in downtown South Boston, where Uncle Sam enjoyed a classic convertible ride, and in the Elmo community, scene of an afternoon parade that wound through the streets near Elmo Grocery. One rider in the Elmo parade proudly displayed the red, white and blue; a small-scale Army jeep bore two young participants in the South Boston parade. (David Conner II photos)
