Rolling thunder comes to Chase City

Perfect weather and large crowds equaled success for the 19th annual South Central Virginia Bike Fair, sponsored by the Chase City Volunteer Fire Department and hosted in town Saturday and Sunday. This year’s Bike Fair, which is held at the fire department training ground on Jonbil Road, began with the Friday night cruz-in and live music. Saturday’s events included poker runs, bike show judging, rodeo games and a tattoo contest. The Fair is one of the department’s largest fundraisers.
