Route 662 to close for three weeks
SoVaNow.com / August 25, 2014Route 662 (Birch Elmo Road) over Tanners Branch, from its intersection with Route 660 (Glass Mill Road) to its intersection with Route 684 (Mt. Zion Church Road) will be temporarily closed to through traffic beginning on Monday, Sept. 22, due to superstructure replacement, according to VDOT.
The road closure will be in place approximately three weeks.
The Department of Transportation will provide adequate signs for the closure and detour of this portion of Route 662 (Birch Elmo Road) along Route 360 west (Mountain Road in Halifax County and Old Richmond Road in Pittsylvania County) to Route 661 south (High Point Road) to Route 660 east (Glass Mill Road) and back to Route 662 (Birch Elmo Road). 236
