Santa and friends meet downtown

South Boston NewsSouth Boston News
Children had the opportunity to share their fondest wishes for the holidays with Santa Claus at Christmas Open House Sunday in downtown South Boston. The jolly elf took time out from his busy schedule to pose for photos with the little ones at The Busy Bean. Downtown merchants such as Patsy Owen at Enchanted Surroundings said customer traffic for Open House was brisk. “I think the crowd is coming faster and better than last year,” she said. “I know I say that every year, but it’s true. The cold weather is perfect, too.” Near the end of the day, Sally Tuck won the prize drawing of a $100 downtown gift certificate.
