Scholarship set in memory of McInturfs

South Boston News
Don and Julia McInturf / January 17, 2018

The Mecklenburg County Business Education Partnership, Inc. has announced the establishment of the Mac & Julia McInturf Memorial Scholarships to be given out this year.

The MCBEP has joined with the McInturf family to create two scholarships (one at Park View High School and one at Bluestone High School) for seniors who plan to attend either a two-year or a four-year institution after high school.

The MCBEP will contribute $2,000, with $1,000 going towards a graduating Park View senior and $1,000 towards a graduating Bluestone senior.

The MCBEP welcomes others to contribute to this loving scholarship, established in memory of the two longtime county educators who lost their lives in a highway crash last month. MCBEP is a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization, so all donations are tax-deductible.

More money would also help keep the scholarship sustained for years to come. If interested, call Gina Lawrimore, executive director, at 434-265-6789 or email her at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
