Search resumes for missing man
SoVaNow.com / December 19, 2013The search for 61 year old James Oliver Brown will resume this Saturday, December 21 according to Halifax County Sheriff Fred Clark.
Clark said his department had planned a search party last Saturday, but due to inclement weather he was unable to get search groups to come into the county.
Brown was last seen by a family member on Thanksgiving (November 28, 2013) walking in the area of Neal’s Corner Road in Clover where he lived alone but in close proximity to a brother.
He is described as a black male, six feet tall weighing approximately 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, and a large mole between his right cheek and right eye. Brown has no known medical conditions, according to a family member.
As of late Tuesday night, Clark said his office has received no new information about the man’s possible whereabouts.
“We are still asking for any information anyone might have about where Brown could have gone. We hope to be able to cover a wide area in the Clover - Mt. Laurel community on Saturday morning when search groups arrive here,” the Sheriff said.
