Seven local suspects face drug related charges
SoVaNow.com / February 07, 2013Seven local suspects are facing drug-related charges in the wake of arrests and indictments conducted by area law enforcement officers.
The list includes two local men who were already incarcerated in the Blue Ridge Regional Adult Detention Facility in Halifax on unrelated charges. One is Joshua Kyle Webster, 28, of Pine Lane, South Boston, who has been charged on four separate indictments: two counts of distribution of Schedule II narcotics and two counts of conspiring to distribute Schedule II narcotics.
Also charged while incarcerated at Blue Ridge was Jeremy Deon Medley, 29, of Lomax Avenue, South Boston. He was charged with four counts of distribution of Schedule II narcotics.
A third suspect who is being held at the Blue Ridge Adult Detention Facility in Lynchburg, Lamont Bee Miller, 30, of Myrtle Street, South Boston, was charged by a member of the Lynchburg Police Department with one indictment of distribution of imitation “cocaine.”
Also this week, a 51 year old South Boston woman, Denise Daniel Webster of Pine Lane, was arrested by South Boston Police Officer T.D. Clay on nine separate indictments: six for distribution of Schedule II narcotics and three for conspiring to distribute Schedule II narcotics.
Three other South Boston residents were charged on January 29, including 29 year old Tobias Marable of Philpott Road, South Boston, who was arrested by South Boston Police Officer R. J. Mead. Mead saw Marable in a local business and recognized him as being wanted for one count of distribution of cocaine.
Also charged January 29 was 51 year old Lorenza Bailey of Gygax Avenue, who was arrested by Sgt. Q. W. Clark of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Department. Bailey was charged with one count of distribution of cocaine. Bailey was already incarcerated in the Halifax Blue Ridge Jail on an unrelated charge.
The other man arrested on January 29 by South Boston Police Officer J. Throckmorton was 60 year old Calvin Howerton of Porter Lane, who was charged with one count of distribution of cocaine.
