South Boston Council meets this afternoon / August 25, 2014
South Boston Town Council will hold its monthly work session this afternoon beginning at 5:45 p.m. in Council Chambers on Yancey Street.

Mayor Ed Owens is expected to present Council with a resolution wishing 100 year old town resident Raymond Shelton with birthday wishes.

Finance Director Erle Scott will bring the monthly financial report to Finance members and Current Issues Committee members will review the proposed 2104-15 street paving list.

They will also consider an appointment to the Library Board to represent the town which has three seats on the board. Finally the committee will consider a petition to the Circuit Court for a writ of election to fill the seat on Council vacated by Margaret Coleman who is relocating to another area.
