South Boston Council meets with light agenda on tap

South Boston Town Council will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight beginning at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers on Yancey Street with Vice Mayor Coleman Speece presiding in the absence of Mayor Ed Owens.

Council will get its monthly financial report and will also hear an update on the work underway on the Imperial Lofts project at the former Tultex building on Mineral Street.

Council will also be introduced to the town’s newest firefighter and EMT Jonathan Benoun.
