South Boston police make few arrests this weekend

South Boston Police had a relatively quiet weekend, making two arrests on Saturday, July 27. Cpl. M.W. Bowen arrested two men — 54 year old William T. Mays of South Boston and 49 year old Christopher L. Conner of Scottsburg — both for assaulting a family member.

On Friday, July 26, Bowen arrested 43 year old Rodney M. Green for assaulting a family member the day prior, on July 25.

Also on July 26, Bowen arrested 34 year old Danny L. Perkins of South Boston, charging him with being drunk in public and with shoplifting from Wal-Mart.

Christopher R. McNamee, 41, of South Boston was arrested on Friday, July 26 and charged by Officer C. Mann with being drunk in public and with possession of marijuana.

On Sunday, July 28, Bowen arrested 31 year old Quentin Clauden of South Boston charging him with making threats over a public communication system on July 24.
