South Boston Town Council meets today

South Boston Town Council will hold its monthly work session today at 5:45 p.m. in Council Chambers on Yancey Street.

Treasurer Erle Scott will present the monthly financial report to the Finance Committee, headed by Councilman Coleman Speece.

South Boston Fire Chief Steve Phillips will present a five-year update to members of the Current Issues Committee on Halifax County’s Emergency Operation Plan.

Following the two committee meetings, Council will go into closed session to discuss personnel, specifically to discuss prospective candidates for employment.
