Super 8 hit by armed robbers / April 14, 2010
Early Sunday morning, April 10 at approximately 12:45 a.m., officers from the South Boston Police Department responded to an armed robbery call at the Super 8 Motel located at 1040 Bill Tuck Highway, South Boston.

Upon their arrival officers were advised that an unidentified black male wearing a ski mask entered the Super 8 Model brandishing a firearm and demanding money. The robber was able to get an undisclosed amount of money before running from the business. The subject is thought to be approximately 5 feet 6 inches in height and was wearing a red shirt. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the South Boston Police Department at 575-4273 or Crime Stoppers at 476-8445. Calling Crime Stoppers can lead to a reward of up to $1,000 for the arrest and conviction of the offenders involved.

In other police reports, Robert Wimbish, of 1191 Sinai Rd., So. Boston, reported that over the past year someone has been stealing parts off 4 separate Mercedes-Benz cars that are parked at his address, along with parts from a Chevy Nova that belongs to Arthur Scott that is also parked there. Deputy Jeff Burton is the investigating officer.
