Suspect sought in Sinai Road abduction, rape

Police are searching for a 21-year-old man with ties to the Sinai community who is suspected of breaking into a home in the early morning hours Friday and committing rape and abduction.

Richard Elijah Jacobs faces felony charges of breaking and entering, abduction and rape in connection with an incident on Sinai Road early Friday. The suspect remains at large and police are appealing for tips and information on his whereabouts.

Jacobs was reported to be armed with a knife and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

South Boston Detective C. L. Carswell is asking that anyone with any knowledge of Jacob’s whereabouts to please call 911 or the South Boston Police Department at (434) 575-4273.
