... and it can belong to the lucky holder of the winning ticket in the quilt raffle that is part of the annual NHFVD Marathon, set to take place Saturday, Sept. 7 at the North Halifax Volunteer Fire Department in Nathalie. NHVFD quilting ladies Sue Tucker and Gloria Eanes are shown with the “Compass in the Cabin” prize quilt — all part of the day’s fun, along with music, food, games for the kids and much more. Raffle tickets are $1 each and can be purchased the day of the event. The winner does not need be present to win, and will be notified. The NHVFD Marathon is the year’s largest fund raiser for the fire department. / August 22, 2019
