Three arrested on charges of grand larceny, trespassing / February 24, 2020
Three people were arrested Feb. 15 in connection with a larceny that occurred that same day. According to Sheriff Fred Clark, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on a vacant property on Old Cluster Springs Road. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle at a residence there.

Upon investigation, deputies found that items in the vehicle were possibly stolen from a nearby property. Deputies seized tools, power equipment, household goods and scrap metals.

James Christian Wiles, 25 of Cemetery Road, Savannah Marie Rogers, 18 of Old Cluster Springs Road and Johnathan Wayne Stewart, 20 of Jacinto, Texas were all arrested at the scene and transported to Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Halifax. Deputy D. L. Clark charged all three subjects with one count of grand larceny and one count of trespassing.

Wiles was released on an unsecured bond. Rogers was held on a $2,500 secured bond and Stewart was held without bond.
