Tips sought on C-store armed robber

South Hill Police are seeking information on a male assailant who entered a convenience store Saturday night and fired off two rounds from a handgun before leaving the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

South Hill officers were dispatched Saturday night at about 9:45 p.m. to the Slip-In market on 805 West Danville Street after an armed robbery was reported there. Upon investigation, officers learned that a male dressed in all black clothing had entered the store and demanded money. He discharged two rounds from his firearm before leaving with the cash.

The SHPD released a still image of the suspect from in-store camera surveillance and the investigation continues. Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to call South Hill Police Department at 434-447-3104 or text your tip to keyword SHPDTIP at 847411.
