SoVaNow.com / September 30, 2010
On Sept. 14 at 5:10 p.m., Halifax Police Cpl. S. M. Comer investigated a two vehicle collision on North Main Street just north of Snead Lane. According to Comer’s report, a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche operated by 26 year old Sterling Williams Jr. of South Boston was stopped in the northbound traffic lane waiting to turn left into a private drive.

Williams’ vehicle was rear ended by a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup operated by 50 year old Jerry W. Goss of Creedmore, N.C. Cpl. Comer estimated damages to Goss’ vehicle at $2,500 with $1,500 in damages to Williams’ vehicle. Williams complained of pain and was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. Comer charged Goss with following too closely.
