Two hurt as vehicle flips on U.S. 58

SoVaNow.com / July 24, 2013
Virginia State Police were called out to investigate a single-vehicle crash Sunday night around 6:20 p.m. on U.S. 58 near Newton’s Trailer Park in Buffalo Junction.

Trooper J. A. Williamson reported that a 2005 Ford Escape, driven by 46-year-old Lynette Hastings of Clarksville, ran off the road to the left before it struck a bank and rolled over.

Hastings was uninjured, but her two passengers, 74-year-old Jerrell Boswell and an 11-year-old girl, were both transported to Halifax Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries from the crash.

Hastings was charged with failure to control her vehicle. Trooper Williamson estimated damages to the Escape at $5,000.
