Water woes cause Mecklenburg County schools to shutter

A water break at Bluestone High School forced the closing of Mecklenburg County schools on Monday.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. James Thornton, contacted about the matter on Monday, attributed the decision to close schools to the lack of water at the Skipwith high school.
He did not elaborate in a brief e-mail to this newspaper.
