Winds fell tree, knock out power to 1,100 / April 25, 2013
High winds late yesterday upended a big tree on State Route 832, bringing down electric lines and knocking out power to 1,100 Dominion Electric Power customers.

A Dominion media representative said the tree fell shortly after 4 p.m. She said crews were brought in quickly to repair the damages, but at 5:30 she had no estimated time for the restoration of power for customers on State Route 360 and in Sinai who were affected.

Travel along State Route 360 was also affected as highway department employees worked to chop up the tree and remove it from the roadway.
