Daystrom renovations begin today

The renovation of the former Daystrom building is expected to begin today, according to Mike Sexton, Executive Director of the Halifax County Industrial Development Authority. Sexton said the J.E. Burton Construction Company, joined by McDannald Construction, will work together on the project, now termed the “Green View Advanced Manufacturing Center.”

Farmers Foods site tops Halifax agenda

Halifax Town Council will hold its regular monthly meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall. Council members are expected to make a decision on whether they will expand their agreement with Hill Studio to plan for the use of the former Farmers Food property.
