A decision to press additional charges in the fatal stabbing last week of Christopher Polk will rest in the hands of a Halifax County grand jury when it meets July 12 to hear information about the case.

Stabbing victim dies, more charges pending for suspect

A 26 year old man who was stabbed at Westside Village Apartments late Saturday night died at Duke University Hospital on Tuesday from injuries he received in the altercation. The assailant could face additional criminal counts after initially being charged with malicious wounding.
