RALLYING IN SUPPORT OF BRIAN’S

South Boston NewsSouth Boston News
Members of the South Hill community are rallying around Ronnie Wells and Carleen Wells after their iconic restaurant, Brian’s Steakhouse, burned down last week. Members of the South Hill Rotary and Lions clubs managed to pull the club’s scorched figurines from the ashes over the weekend. They also saved the Rotary and Ruritan bells, but all of the pieces — housed at the restaurant, a longtime gathering spot for civic organizations — sustained some damage. Meantime, signs posted at the burn site demonstrate the support for the restaurant and its employees. Businesses including Touchstone Bank, Memory Makers, New to You Consignment and Trinity Custom Apparel are raising funds to help. Henry Edmonds of Xtreme Signs & Graphics placed the sign in front of the restaurant on Atlantic Avenue. Edmonds invites the public to “show your support and go sign it.”
